Warm-up To help start-up this unit, teachers are suggested to start this part In-depth Reading by playing the short video of Walmart first, and start Q & A, such as: ---100 minutes 1. Have you bought goods in Walmart or a large supermarket like it? How often do you go there? 1.Warm-up: (1)discussion 2. Do you like the experience of shopping in these large (2) Task 1 supermarkets? 3. Compare your shopping experience in large supermarkets with (3) Task 2 that in small shops. ---20 minutes 4. Where are these large supermarkets, big cities or small towns? Why is that? 2. Listening and speaking: Then teachers can leave 5 minutes to students to discuss in groups. Task 1: Task 1 Look at given pictures and answer the following questions Task 2: Q1. Have you ever had food in these shops? Which one do you like Task 3: most? Discussion: A1. I have had food in these shops, and I like...most. ---50 minutes Q2. What kind of company are they? A2. They are chain enterprises. 3. In-depth reading Q3. Compare these food shops and find out their similarities. Background Information
