Step 1. Warm up and revision: 1.Sing an english song. 2. Question and answer drill. 1.Sing an English song.
2.Use some pictures and have a question and answer drill to review the following words:windy/sunny/cool cold/hot/warm.
T: What’s weather like today? S: It’s sunny/windy/rainny…. . T: How do you feel?
S: I feel hot/ warm/cold/cool. 3. Question and answer Step 2 Presentation and practice:
1.Demonstrate the four-skills words with pictures. Lead them through a question and answer drill like This:
T: What’s the weather like today? Ss: It’s sunny and hot.
T: Yes, it’s sunny and hot. In summer it is always hot. Summer, summer. Follow me please. Translate if it is necessary.
The same way with other words.
2. Demonstrate the new drill with the teacher’s body language.
T:: (Show a picture of summer)What season is it? S: It’s summer.
T:Yes. It’ s summer. Which season do you like? I like summer best. Summer is my favourite season. Favourite season, Do you know what’s meaning? Translate if it is necessary.
