Acetylene gas welding and gas cutting rules for safe operation In the course of transportation, storage and use of acetylene, an explosion can occur because of shock, packing, direct heating, improper use and operation error. Therefore, the use of acetylene cylinders, all aspects must take the necessary safety measures. Technical inspection is carried out every three years.

1, the use of safety technical requirements: 1) no knocking or collision.

2) should stand up, can not lie down, so as to prevent acetone flow, causing fire and explosion (acetone, steam and air mixing, explosion limit is 2.9%-- 13%). When the gas tank is placed 15-20min, the bottle valve can be opened. Unscrew the bottle valve, not more than 1.5 rpm, in general, only 3/4 turn.

3) shall not be near the heat source and electrical equipment, summer exposure should be avoided, and the distance from open flame is generally not less than 10m (height work should be parallel to the vertical ground).

4) bottle valve frozen, strictly prohibited fire, and if necessary, can be used at 40 degrees below the temperature of the thaw.

5) lifting and transporting should be done with special clamps and shockproof transport vehicles. It is forbidden to hoist and transport them by electromagnetic crane and chain rope.

6) shall not be placed in poorly ventilated and radioactive places, and shall not be placed on rubber or other insulators.

7) when the working place is not fixed and moving more frequently, it should be installed on a special car. At the same time, when using acetylene bottles and oxygen bottles, we should try to avoid putting them together.

8) should pay attention to fixed use, to prevent dumping, strictly prohibited lying down and use, the local temperature should not exceed 40 degrees (that is hot).

9) a special pressure reducer and a backfire preventer shall be installed. When opening, the operator should stand behind the valve port, the action should be light and slow.

10) the pressure shall not exceed 0.15Mpa, and the gas flow rate shall not exceed 1.5-2.0m3 (H bottle).

11) prohibit copper, silver, mercury and other products and acetylene contact, must use copper alloy appliances, alloy content is less than 70%.

12) the gas in the bottle is strictly forbidden to be exhausted, and the residual pressure must not be less than the following table.

2, transport acetylene bottle safety technical requirements: 1) light weight should be unloaded, no throwing, sliding, rolling, touch.

2) the vehicles and ships should be properly fixed when they are shipped. When the automobile discharges the acetylene bottle

horizontally, the head shall be directed towards one side and shall not exceed the height of the carriage. When the vehicle is discharged vertically, the height of the carriage shall not be lower than the 2/3 of the bottle height.

3) summer sun shading facilities, to prevent insolation, hot areas should be avoided during the day transport.

4) fireworks ban on the car, and should be equipped with dry powder or carbon dioxide (fire, prohibited the use of carbon tetrachloride fire extinguisher).

5) forbid to transport with chlorine bottle, oxygen bottle and inflammable goods.

6) strictly abide by the traffic and public security departments promulgated dangerous goods transportation regulations and relevant regulations.

3. Storage of acetylene bottle safety technical requirements: 1) site stock shall not exceed 5 bottles of acetylene bottles; more than 5 bottles but not more than 20 bottles, should be in the field with non combustible or difficult burning body walls into separate storage

room, there should be one side by the wall; more than 20 bottles, should set the acetylene bottle base; acetylene warehouse storage capacity of more than 40 bottles with the fire resistance rating of not less than two of the building adjacent to the production workshop,

The adjoining wall shall be a firewall without doors, windows and holes, and shall not be allowed to pass through any pipe.

2) the distance between the storage room and the open flame or the place where sparks are distributed shall not be less than 15m and shall not be located in the basement or semi basement.

3) ventilation, cooling and other facilities should have good storage, avoid direct sunlight, to ensure smooth traffic, should be equipped with fire hydrant and dry powder or carbon dioxide fire extinguishers in the vicinity (prohibited the use of carbon tetrachloride fire extinguisher).

4) when storing acetylene bottles, they should be kept upright and should be prevented from dumping.

5) no storage of chlorine bottles, oxygen bottles and flammable materials.

6) storage rooms should be managed by special personnel. In the striking place, there should be \sign.

4 、 Safety requirements of welding torch:

1) before use, should first check their suction and discharge performance, radiation performance is not normal, must be repaired, otherwise not allowed to use.

2) the performance of the suction gun shall be checked to check whether the gas leak is normal or not, and all the parts of the welding torch shall not leak.

3) on the basis of the first two inspections, the ignition test is carried out. There are two ignition methods. One is to give acetylene gas first, and the other to give oxygen first. The safer way to start the ignition is to give acetylene gas first, and then to the oxygen immediately after ignition, and adjust the flame.

4) when the cease-fire is made, oxygen should be turned off after acetylene to prevent the fire from attacking and producing soot.

5) when tempering occurs, the acetylene should be rapidly closed and the oxygen will be turned off immediately, so that the flame falling down will soon be extinguished in the torch.

6) each part of the welding torch, the gas passage and the regulating valve shall not be contaminated with grease.

7) after the welding torch is stopped, the adjusting handwheel shall be tightened and hung in place, or the welding torch and hose can be removed.

8) it is not allowed to use the hose without the possibility of removing the hose (the welding torch, the hose and the gas source are
