PURPOSE:To eliminate the drift of a molten metal in a nozzle and to prevent the intrusion of impurities into the molten metal by stirring of the molten metal
surface by decreasing the inside diameter of the region of the inside wall of the nozzle where the molten metal collides, thereby forming a step part.
CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 22 in a tundish 21 is poured through an outflow port 23 and a nozzle 31 into a casting mold 34. The molten steel flow is drifted when the aperture area of a flow port 30 is adjusted by moving a sliding plate 28 in the direction of an arrow 29.
