residents’psychological control source of marriage,so as to explore factors affecting marriage and provide reli-able theory basis for residents’mental health education of marriage.Methods:The scale of mental control source about marriage was adopted to investigate the 624 residents in Gansu province.Results:As for different genders, difference in ability,effort,background,opportunities and luck was significant (P <0.05);For urban and rural residents,difference in background,opportunities and luck was significant (P <0.05),and difference in ability and effort was not significant (P >0.05);For different ages and ages of marriage,difference in effort was signifi-cant (P <0.05),and difference in ability,background,opportunities and luck was not significant (P <0.05);For different educational degrees,difference in background,opportunities and luck was significantly different (P <0.05),and difference in ability and effort was not significant (P
