摘要：In the present era of accelerating globalization and ever-closer cross- border exchanges, climate change, otherwise known as global warming, is exerting a profound influence on the natural environment on which humanity depends for a living as well as the sustainable economic and social development, and is becoming one of the greatest challenges to the international community. Considering that China and the United States remain the world＇s two leading greenhouse gas （GHG） emitters, climate change has become an increasingly important topic in bilateral relations and presents an opportunity to give
substance of their new major power relationship as they articulate global climate governance.
