MODULE 2 the Human Development Report (学案)

1985年，非洲的埃塞俄比亚、苏丹、毛里塔尼亚等国严重干旱，粮食短缺，成百万人死于饥荒。据估计，非洲有一亿五千万人受到饥饿的威胁这首主题歌是西方摇滚巨星迈克尔·杰克逊和莱昂内尔·里奇连夜赶写出来的。这首歌制成磁带分寄给美国几十名歌星时附上迈克尔·杰克逊写的一段话：“如果将来你们的后代问起，他们的爸爸妈妈为人类面临饥荒做了些什么?你们可以骄傲地回答他们，你们做了应做的贡献。” 1985年1月28日，在洛杉矶举行了规模空前的援助非洲的大义演，在场的歌星和工作人员手挽手同声高唱这首大会的主题歌 ( We are the World )，感人涕下。通过卫星向世界上140多个国家现场直播，演出达16个小时，收看观众多达20亿人，募集救济款8500万美元
