When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

3.To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or (state specific part or parts in question )in water or other

4.Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
5.Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
6.Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any
manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
7.The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacture may cause injuries. 8.Do not use outdoors (this item may be omitted if the product is specifically intended for outdoor use). 9.Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. 10.Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11.Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
12.Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove
plug from wall outlet.
13.Do not use appliance for other than intended use. 14.Save these instructions.
15.“This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended
to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way

60.15 An appliance provided with a flexible cord less than 4-1/2 feet (1.4 m) in length (see 11.2.1.1) shall be provided with instructions in accordance with 60.16.
60.16 The instructions required in 60.15 shall include the following information:
a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance; and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord. 飯鍋慢鍋有下面這條要求
60.26 An appliance with a removable cooking container shall be marked with the word ?CAUTION??and the following or the equivalent on the internal surface of the basic appliance: ?Risk of Electric Shock. Cook only in removable container.??Such marking shall be in letters not less than 3/32 inch (2.4 mm) high. The lettering shall be on a contrasting background or the letters are to be raised or the equivalent so that the marking is readily readable.
Exception: This marking does not apply to an appliance tested in accordance with 43.2.2.
铭牌要求：
- Listee’s Name or File number “E214884” - Model Number - Electrical Ratings - Date of Manufacture
-“HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY” shall be in letters not less than 2.4 mm high.
UL1083：
吊牌：(炸锅特殊要求)
油炸锅、煮锅及煎锅，应在电源线上与插头距离2”(51 mm)以内永久性贴附一个吊牌。吊牌材料及在电源线上的贴附方法应符合50章的测试要求。吊牌上应有“WARNING”及以下内容或类似内容：
WARNING
SERIOUS HOT-OIL BURNS MAY RESULT FROM A DEEP-FAT FRYER (COOKER/FRYER, SKILLET, OR FRY PAN) BEING PULLED OFF A COUNTERTOP. DO NOT ALLOW THE CORD TO HANG OVER THE EDGE OF THE COUNTER WHERE IT MAY BE GRABBED BY CHILDREN OR BECOME ENTANGLED WITH THE USER. DO NOT USE WITH AN EXTENSION CORD.
以上内容中，“WARNING”及“DO NOT USE WITH AN EXTENSION CORD”应该为红色，字高不小于3/16”(4.8 mm)。其它字为黑色，字高不小于1/16”(1.6 mm)。所有字均为大写。
例外：煮锅及煎锅，如其电源线长度不大于42”（从插头面量至器具入口），不必带有51.14所规定的吊牌。
54.15警告吊牌的反面应有如图54.1所示的图形及警告语。图形为黑色，“X”符号及警告语为红色。图形宽度不小于1”(25.4 mm)，
