PURPOSE:To provide a rubber composition having improved low-temperature characteristics without lowering the original properties of the rubber, by introducing a specific amount of halogen into an ethylene-alpha-olefin(-nonconjugated diene) compolymer having high ethylene content, and using the copolymer as a rubber component.
CONSTITUTION:An ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer (the alpha-olefin is propylene, 1- butene, etc.) having an ethylene
content of 65-85(wt)% based on the sum of ethylene and alpha-olefin, or an ethylene-alpha-olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer (the nonconjugated diene is 1,4-hexadiene, etc. and its
amount is <=20% based on the whole monomer) is halogenated (preferably chlorinated or brominated) to obtain a halogenated ethylene-alpha-olefin(-nonconjugated diene) copolymer having a halogen content of 2-45%, preferably 5-30%. The obtained copolymer is used as the rubber component, and is
compounded with other rubber chemicals, especially a low-molecular liquid
plasticizer (e.g. dioctyl phthalate, etc.). 主权项：
