Discussing Cooperative learning Task-based instructive teaching 教学过程( Part A) (第一课时) Step One: Lead in Play a video to show some pictures of famous people to arouse students’ interest in class and make the students get to know some famous people . 复备 Step Two: Warm-up Activity One: Free topics about some famous people. Discuss the following questions: 1. Do you know them? Do you like them? Why or why not? 2. Do you think they are more intelligent than you? Why or why not? Activity Two: Discussion 1.Discuss in class to finish the Exercise1 at page72 in the textbook. 2.Discuss what kind of qualities do you think will help people become more intelligent? 3.Finish the Exercise 2 at page 72 in the textbook. Step Three: Listening and speaking A Activity One: Pre-listening: word study 1. IQ, intelligent, airhead,… etc. 2. Let the students to describe each picture and guess the possible presentation about the characters in the dialogue. While listening 1. Listen to the conversation and circle the best representation of Mart.. 2. Discuss the answers. Activity Two: 1.Listen again and categorize the express approval or disapproval. 2.Discuss the answers. 3.Listen again and tick true or false. 4.Check the answers in class. Post-listening 1. Read the conversation in pairs, and try to solve the language points in groups. 2. Do the exercises in the Ex-book.
