加强英语精读提高语言能力

【摘要】对阅读能力的培养可达到让学生理解英语的基本目的，而英语精读是实现这一目的的重要方式之一。从近三十年的文献和我国中小学教学的实践来判断，英语精读被忽略的现象非常普遍。本文通过回顾精读的基本含义，阅读的理论基础，包括自上而下和自下而上处理法和图式理论等，结合我国中小学英语教学实践分析了英语教学忽视探讨语言规律、轻视英语精读的现状，指出英语精读教学存在着一语或二语教学中未曾面临的语言困境，学习者既缺少英语语境又缺乏相应的语言知识。精读关注语言本身，而这种重视语言知识、促进理解的手段仍然是学生提高英语能力的有效方式。%The nurture in intensive reading fulfils the function of facilitating comprehension and the analysis of intensive reading instruction, a language-focused strand, is a reaction to both the literature review in recent thirty years and the practical conditions in primary and secondary schools in China, which re.veal that the intensive instruction was terribly neglected. The aim of this article is to show this strand is likely to achieve better results than any other reading methods although the relevant theories such as top-down processing and bottom-up processing, as well as ~hema theory, might derail the strand.
