1.Take a piece of paper and write down a list of your habits.
a piece of 一张/块。 piece为量词,一般修饰不可数名词。其他常见量词词组还有:a bottle of 一瓶;a can of 一罐;a glass of 一杯。

write down 写下。如果跟代词,代词放在中间。 You must write the new words down.
2.Develop your good habits and improve yourself! develop用作动词,意为“发展;使形成”。 How can you develop your mind? 你怎么开发你的思维?
develop的名词形式是 development “发展”;形容词形式是developing“发展中的”; developed“发达的”。
The development of China is very quick. China is a developing country. The U.S is a developed country.
3.Now I watch TV only a few times a week.
a few times意为“几次”,time用作可数名词“次数”。once“一次”;twice “两次”;three times“三次”。
I eat vegetables three times a week. time还可以用作不可数名词 “时间”。 What time do you get up every day?
4.I still don’t always make my bed, but I’m working on it. work on意为“致力于,从事于”。
My uncle is working on inventing new things. (1)work on意为“继续工作”。
He worked on in the office until ten o’clock last night. (2)work on意为“ 对……产生影响,对……起作用”。 This kind of medicine may work on him. 【课后检测】
