Module7 Unit 2 I was born in Quincy

教材分析:

本模块的话题是谈论“过去的生活”,该话题为学生所熟知,非常有利于开展听、说、读、写方面的语言实践活动。这篇文章介绍的是贝蒂的个人生活,从社会,家庭,朋友的角度对贝蒂在昆西的生活进行描述。语言知识方面可以培养学生快速阅读和详读的教学策略。情感态度方面,可以通过对童年的描述增进同学之间的了解,培养对家乡和生活的热爱。 教学方法: pair-work, group work 教案内容: 一、 学习目标:

1. To get information from the reading material about Betty’s past life. 2. To understand the sentences with was or were in the passage. 3. To write a brief description about one’s past life.

二、学习重、难点:

1、教学重点

掌握以下重点句型:

⑴.I was born in Quincy, a town on the east coast of America. ⑵ There were lots of things to do in Quincy. ⑶ There was a big living room with a TV….. ⑷ It was great to play there.

⑸We were looking forward to seeing my friends again.

2、教学难点

在生活中能用一般过去时描述和表达过去生活。 三、教学过程: (一) Warming up

1. 课前进行单词风暴,说出与house相关的词汇

bathroom, bedroom , garden, ,lake, kitchen , dinning room , sofa… 2.通过做游戏,看图片说单词。

(二)Pre-reading

1.Learning and practice (1) 教师导入: First let’s enjoy a video.

The video reminds me of my past life, we should cherish our friendship.

(通过放“Yesterday once more ”歌曲视频,唤起孩子们对过去生活的美好回忆,以此导入课文)

(2) Let’s look at the title ---My life in Quincy.

The title(标题) can tell us what the text will talk about. Try to answer the question: Whose life? Where is Quincy? What about his/ her life?

(三)While-reading

1 .Scanning:Read quickly and answer (1)Whose life did the passage tell us? (2)Where is Quincy?
