L4 enquire and reply
1. We shall have a consignment of 500 cases of bicycles for shipment from Shanghai to Bombay. Please quote us your freight rate including dockage (wharfage), lighterage, unloading charge and other expenses. 2. The M.V. “Tai He” of our company is due to leave Shanghai for Lisbon on 5th October. Please fax us your instructions without delay if you have any consignment to be shipped by this vessel.
3. This is to inform you that we are able to reserve as requested sufficient space for your cargo. You are kindly requested to complete the shipping application and send it duly to us in exchange for our Shipping Order, but the freight must be prepaid. 4. With regard to the accommodation for the additional cargo as requested in your letter dated 4th of this month, we wish to inform you that the M.V. “ABC” has no more space allotted for that cargo. We regret that we cannot do what you wish. 5. The main advantages of container serve are : easy handling of cargo; less risk of cargo damage or loss; low freight and prompt delivery. Especially, the development of “Multimodal Container Transport” system provides a highly efficient mode of cargo transport.

1. Under Clause 8 of this bill of lading, if the goods are not taken delivery of by the Receiver (Consignee) from alongside the vessel without delay, or if the Receiver (consignee) refuses to take delivery of the goods, or in case there are unclaimed goods无人认领货物, the Carrier shall be at liberty to有权 land such goods on shore岸 or any other proper places at the sole risk and expense of the Receiver/ shipper.
