中国是世界上文明发达最早的国家之一，有将近4000年的有文字可考的历史。中国史经历了以下几个阶段：原始社会（170万年前-公元前2070年）、奴隶社会（公元前2070年-公元前476年）和封建社会。其中封建社会可分为五个阶段：战国、秦、汉是封建社会形成和初步发展阶段。三国、两晋、南北朝，是封建国家分裂和民族大融合的阶段。隋唐五代时期是封建社会的繁荣阶段。辽、宋、夏、金、元，是民族融合进一步加强和封建经济继续发展的阶段。明、清，是统一的多民族国家巩固和封建制度渐趋衰落阶段。 北京大学历史学系的中国史专业在博士招生方面，划分为19个研究方向：

此专业实行申请考核制。 二、考试内容
北京大学中国史专业博士研究生招生为资格审查加综合考核形式，由笔试+专业面试构成。其中，综合考核内容为 :
a.学科笔试：
考试时间为2019年3月上旬（具体时间见历史系网页复试通知）。考试科目共两门（见附录）。每门考试时长3小时，满分100分。总分200分。笔试成绩及格者（每门考试不低于60分），方能进入面试。笔试成绩不计入总成绩。

b.面试：
面试时间为2019年3月下旬（具体时间见历史系网页面试通知）。硕博连读生与申请-考核制考生一起进行面试。各专家组对考生进行综合面试。每位考生面试时间原则上不少于30分钟。满分100分。面试成绩不及格者（低于60分），不得录取。
3）同等学力申请者，须加试思想政治理论、两门本专业硕士学位主干课程。三门加试均为笔试，考试时间各为2小时。
四、申请材料
1、北京大学2019年攻读博士学位研究生报考登记表； 2、最高学历、学位证书复印件：
1）应届硕士毕业生：提交所在培养单位研究生院或研究生部的证明信，录取后须补交学历和学位证书，审核通过后方可报到注册；
2）只有学位证书而无毕业证书者：提交硕士或博士学位证书复印件； 3）持国（境）外学位证书者，提交由教育部留学服务中心出具的认证报告。 3、身份证复印件；
