一、. Teaching material analysis:

本课时将本单元的互致问候、谈论天气、询问正在从事的活动等重点功能项目结构以明信片的形式呈现出来。通过明信片的阅读让学生学习书信用语和格式,进一步提高学生在生活中的英语交流能力;引导

学生热爱生活,善于观察生活,了解世界各国的地理知识,同时培养学生关注天气的习惯,以及热爱自然,保护环境的意识。 二、Learning situation analysis:

天气与我们的日常生活有关,学生比较感兴趣,加以图画形象配合更加直观。学生喜欢口语模仿、交流,对知识的输入通过语言操练来领悟比直接讲句型更容易接受。本单元通过对现在进行时的巩固学习,教师可随时设置贴近实际的情景,让学生在生动活泼的氛围中掌握教学内容。

三、Teaching aims:

1、Language knowledge aim:

(1)掌握单词和短语:visit Canada summer sit juice soon vacation hard Europe mountain country skate on a vacation (2)掌握的句型:I’m having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada.

I’m so happy to see them again. It’s relaxing here. Are you studying hard? (2)学习阅读课文2b

2、 Ability skill aims:通过阅读文章,指导学生学会通过阅读回答相关问题,并运用本单元所学的词汇和句型进行简单的写作。 3、 Emotional attitude aims:引导学生关注天气情况,培养学生爱护环境,保护自然资源的良好意识。学习不同地方的天气和人的活动,

对学生进行不同文化意识的渗透。 四、Teaching importance and difficulties:

1、重点:(1)本课所学习的单词和短语。(2)学习阅读课文2b. 2、难点:学会写英语明信片;运用描述天气情况的词汇和现在进行时进行写作训练。

五、Learning strategy and methods:

本课采用多种教学方法培养学生的能力。任务型教学法,让学生边做任务边学习,达到掌握所学内容的目的;创设情景法,充分利用学生已有的知识经验,创设模拟情景,引导学生在运用中学习;媒体教学法来增强课堂的视觉效果,丰富学生的课堂生活,拓宽学生视野。结合教学任务,培养学生自我探究与 合作学习的学习方式,鼓励学生积极参与课堂活动,大胆超越自己,从而达到锻炼自己的目的,体验学习 的成功与快乐。 六、Teaching preparation: 1. PPT 2. Groups 七、Teaching process:

Show the pictures to the students.Ask and answer the questions in pairs. e.g.

S1:How’s the weather?

S2:It’s sunny and warm. S1:What are they doing? S2:They are cleaning. S1:How’s it going? S2:It’s great. Step 2 Talking

Talk about the pictures in 2a with a parter.How’s the weather?What are the people doing? e.g.

S1:How’s the weather in picture a? S2:It’s sunny and warm. S1:What is she doing?

S2:She is sitting by the pool and drinking orange juice. S1:How’s it going? S2:It’s great.

Ask the students to ask and answer the questions in pairs.Then make their own conversations. Step 3 Reading 1.Fast reading.

Read the postcards in 2b and match each postcard with the correct picture in 2a.The students read the postcards quickly and then check the answers.

Answers: a ,b 2.Careful reading.

(1)Read the first postcard again and find the answers to these questions.

①Where is Su Lin now?She is in Canada now. ②What is Su Lin studying there?English.

③Is she visiting some of her old friends there?Yes,she is. ④What’s she doing right now?

She is sitting by the pool and drinking orange juice. ⑤How’s the weather there?It’s warm and suuny.

(2)Read the second postcard again and find the answers to these questions.

①Where is Dave now?He is in Europe now. ②What are Dave and his family doing there? They are on a vacation in the mountains. ③Are they having a good time?Yes,they are. ④How’s the weather there?Cool and cloudy. ⑤How’s the weather in Jane’s country?Hot.
