PURPOSE:To improve the operation performance of an engine by installing a memory means for learning and
memorizing the delay-angle correction amount and an advance-angle value setting means for correcting the ignition advance- angle value on the basis of the output of a correction-amount calculating means, thus avoiding the generating of knocking. CONSTITUTION:A correction-amount calculating means (d) calculates the delay- angle correction amount so that the generation of knocking is
suppressed and reads out the learned value of the delay-angle correction
amount from a memory means (e) when an engine shifts to a prescribed transition state, and determines the delay-angle correction value on the basis of the learned value. A delay-angle setting means (f) corrects the ignition advance-angle value on the basis of the output of a correction-amount calculating means (d). Thus, the generation of knocking can be prevented beforehand during the knocking induction period.
