The seriousness of mould on finish with root cause identified from residual product needs no further explanation. CCCL has in mid Sept required all Hotfill bottling lines to carry out capability evaluation with a target ZERO defect using a pH paper procedure with 0.2M citric acid used as acid medium resembling product. Below is the last update on 17th Oct - this is by no means complete.
瓶口严重的发霉现象的根本原因是有饮料残留，这点已经不需要更多的解释。可口可乐中国有限公司在九月中旬要求所有的热灌装线都必须进行性能评估，使用pH试纸和作为模仿产品的0.2%的柠檬酸溶液进行测试，目标是零缺陷。以下是截止到十月十七日最新的信息——这是必须要完成的。

We are extremely uncomfortable with the speed at which things are moving. Only plants with approval from CCCL SCMC can place order. It is also clear that each line must get CCCL's approval of all package sizes at their rated speeds before production can resume. I have instructed Mike Wu to follow up with each mfg location to push for action. I would very much like to set up a two week's deadline i.e. everything is back to normal by end of October. You are required to submit your working plan to Mike. After which we shall treat residue product on finish no different to mould on finish.

The CCCL pH test using 0.2M Citric acid is a line capability evaluation exercise failing which the line will not be authorised to produce. Over and above this SCMC will impose production control based on measuring up residual sugar on finish as line control which is to be included in all daily QC procedure. Our objective is NO production unless NO residue product on finish.
