The device comprises a platform 10 onto which a vehicle 200 to be parked is driven, the platform is moveable over supporting ground by a plurality of rollers 20 that permit linear movement of the platform along a guide and a drive mechanism drives the platform from a vehicle load position to a parked position, wherein the drive mechanism comprises a motor 40 in a fixed position for driving a winch which winches a line 30 connected to the platform so as to move the platform with respect to the motor. The line may pass through a pulley 50 and return to the platform to define a loop and the line may be a chain. The platform may comprise two substantially parallel elongate
sections with at least one bar connecting the sections. Also disclosed is a kit of parts for a platform for use with the
