【摘 要】Years of practice has made China blaze a trail with Chinese characteristics for poverty alleviation and accumulate valuable experience in promoting its cause of human rights through poverty reduction. By the end of 2018, the country’s total poor population stood at 16.6 million, with its poverty incidence dropping to 1.7 percent. The Chinese government has vowed to eradicate all poverty in its rural areas by 2020.
