I felt delighted to be informed the news that I would be our Student Union’s next minister of health. Therefore, when I calmed down, I began to realize what challenging the job would be. I can still remember the day when I hold a meeting with all the members, that was a real challenge for me. With so many eyes fixing on me, I struggled to speak as my face and ears turned complete red. I had never felt so nervous ago. Although I went through a series of difficulty, I gained a lot as well --- a plenty of new friends, the ability to communicate and an improvement in my organizational skills.

My hometown is Brighton where is not a very big town. It is on the coast about 50 miles from London and has population of about 300, 000. Of course it isn’t as interested as London. But the air is a lot cleaner and good because there is little pollution here. There are a few factories in Brighton, but not many. As a result, that isn’t very easy to find a job here. My father used to working in a steel factory which shut down a year ago and my father loses his job. There are a lot of hotels and language schools in the town. On summer the town is full of traveler. My father has been decided to open a small gift shop.

I like eating fruit and vegetables what are of great benefit to our health. Not only do they prevent us from falling into ill, but also they help them lose
weight. I used to hate vegetables, and following the doctor’s advice, I gradually kick the bad habit. Just as an old saying going, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” However, there are still many children dislike fruit and vegetables. On contrary, influenced by this or that kind of advertisement, many are crazy about junk food. Consequent, they become weaker and weaker instead of getting strong. In my opinion, we must take action to change it.
